Founded in 1937, our company traces its roots to the vision of our founders, Grandpa and Grandma, who introduced the traditional Chinese method of crafting tofu skin (yuba) to Thailand. Under the “Twin Bell” brand, they became pioneers as the first producers and distributors of a wide range of dried tofu skin products in the country. The business was formally incorporated as Ngow Jeng Nguan Co., Ltd., and during that era, tofu skin products were especially popular during major cultural festivals, including the Vegetarian Festival, Chinese New Year, and the Hungry Ghost Festival.
In 1998, the business was passed to the next generation—Mr. Thongchai (Kim) and Mrs. Monsiri (Mon) Benjaponlert—who envisioned making tofu skin a healthy, everyday food for younger consumers. They expanded production to include fresh soy milk blended with nutritious grains such as mung beans, Job’s tears, red beans, and fresh tofu skin. These innovative products were sold through a pushcart franchise under the “Honghao” brand, which quickly gained popularity. However, due to high early-morning demand, logistical challenges, and Mrs. Mon’s need for a health-related hiatus, the Honghao franchise was eventually discontinued.
In 2004, upon returning to work, Mrs. Mon was determined to press forward. She introduced a new concept: freshly made, premium-grade soy milk with fresh tofu skin, bottled in chilled plastic containers under the “Benjaporn” brand. This innovation was praised by customers for its convenience, rich flavor, and easy consumption.
In 2009, the third-generation successor, Mr. Sirichai “Benz” Benjapornlert, assumed leadership, fulfilling a promise made to his grandmother. He rebranded and modernized the product line, renaming it “Fong Fong” to better appeal to a new generation of consumers. With the adoption of advanced technology, the company ensured the preservation of product quality and freshness, allowing customers to enjoy natural soy protein all year round.
Today, Fong Fong products are available at Thailand’s leading health food stores and supermarkets, including Tops, Big C, Golden Place, MaxValu, Lawson, Gourmet Market, Lemon Farm, Lotus’s, Makro, 7-Eleven, Foodland, and GO Wholesale.
